Memento los Muertos

Our Memento los Muertos art is made from actual vintage photos typically found in antique stores. A memento mori is an object serving as a warning or reminder of death, but because these are heavily influenced by Mexican culture, and their Dia de los Muertos, we consider these not only a reminder that we will each die one day, the purpose of a memento mori, but an ask that we also remember our dead, the people closest to us that we have lost in this life. Both keep us grateful, grounded and humble.

These are are designed, engraved, mounted on gold foil and framed using vintage/antique store frames (or mounted to engraved, stained and painted wood panels), and absolutely contain a tiny piece of our own souls.
