Tulsa Tipsy

Tulsa Tipsy, 2026 Tulsa Oktoberfest Collector’s Edition

Tulsa Tipsy was created from seven historical images, bringing together vintage pinup art, postcard typography, a very old photograph of Tulsa, and some rather unruly tornadoes.

The cowgirl pinup (tattoos removed) is by Archie Dickens, dating to the 1940s or ’50s. The vintage TULSA lettering comes from a 1945 Greetings from Tulsa, the Oil Capital of the World postcard, while the Greetings From typography was borrowed from a 1909 South Dakota postcard. The background photograph is of Tulsa in 1909, and those tornadoes? They came from an 1827 lithograph by Félix Achille Beaupoil Saint-Aulaire titled Waterspouts at Sea off Sicily. Because apparently even a vintage Oklahoma postcard could use a little maritime weather chaos.

We originally released 25 11×14 Collector’s Edition prints on archival matte paper and 25 16x20” framed, stretched canvas wraps exclusively for Oktoberfest.
